There is a world where, on a small, isolated continent, there is a sprawling city. Dark, corrupt, spoken of only in hushed whispers. The ground is poisoned, the streets tainted with things no one wants to acknowledge. Here, the factions of Light and Dark rule: vampires, shapeshifters, psychics, spirits, phoenix, and countless other creatures of legend, all watched over by the mysterious Hunters Guild. To the humans that wander into their midst, the factions could be allies... or they could be a fate worse than death.

This is the city of Vide Noir.

He never discovered why, but Yusei Fudo found himself caught between the vampire faction and the Mara faction-- the incubi and succubi-- as two of their cooperating members claimed him for both his attractiveness and his fierce intellect. He was fed on and simultaneously infected by both a Mara and a vampire, taking on traits of both species. His instincts overridden by his new hunger, he became a dangerous predator, used as both tool and toy by his sires, until he was seized by the Guild.

The Hunters, who wanted to bring so-called darkbreed factions under control, decided to use Yusei for an experiment. After all, if it killed him, at least he'd be out of his misery. So in an effort to control his darker natures, they infused him with the blood of one of their allies, the phoenix faction.

It didn't work.

With two darkbreed bloodlines combined with a lightbreed mortal enemy, Yusei went mad. He became a chimera, a terrible fusion of parts that were never meant to be. Manifesting all three bloodlines at once, he slaughtered the Guild scientists and escaped into the city, tortured by three different desires, three different needs to sustain his altered body.

Yusei must feed his bloodlust, the lust of the Mara, and his longing for sunlight, even though the darkbreed's lusts cause the phoenix blood distress and vice versa. Tormented by his freakish condition, he's become isolated and almost feral, though he maintains his human intelligence and longing for contact.

Resurrection (only if fully immolated to ash by an outside source, cannot self-ignite)
